I really enjoyed class today. I was able to catch up on the reading and I absolutely love the book. The writing is detailed and has really drawn me in. I honestly have a hard time putting it down. I look forward to reading more tonight and again on Friday in class. I have really needed a new book and find myself to be quite picky with my reading. I’m very excited to finish this novel.

On Friday I was introduced to the new book that we are starting. The book is about the Vietnam war from the perspective of a Vietnamese soldier. I personally love learning about history and was very excited to start reading. We got to go over the history of the Vietnam war and many factors of Vietnamese culture which I found very captivating.
