Wednesday's English Blog 2

 Today we went over an introduction into African American culture. A minor part of the discussion was over stereotypes which was really interesting. It was captivating to see how some stereotypes stemmed from African American culture. For example, corn bread. I also found myself thinking about how culture is very base line and seems to only be “ accurate” from a historical standpoint. All individuals have a unique cultural experience and unique individual qualities.

 Today we started a new project and I am not too excited about it. My job for this assignment is to find words that serve a strong purpose in the writing and I found it really hard to focus. I read through three pages but was unable to process what I had read. I also am not confident in some of my group members and the energy in my group is very passive. It really brought down my mood because the energy with some of my group mates was very negative.
