Wednesday’s English Blog 6

 Today on August 18th we read the poem “Refugee in America.” We had a big discussion about rights and political/social issues. I love the discussions that we have a class and how we all get to express our opinions on the topic. I really enjoy debating the current rights in America today and I honestly learned a lot. I wasn’t aware of the teacher who got reprimanded for reading a book to her class about gender expression. I’m very passionate about social issues and always enjoy a good discussion about them.

 Today we started a new project and I am not too excited about it. My job for this assignment is to find words that serve a strong purpose in the writing and I found it really hard to focus. I read through three pages but was unable to process what I had read. I also am not confident in some of my group members and the energy in my group is very passive. It really brought down my mood because the energy with some of my group mates was very negative.
