Wednesday’s English Blog 8

 Today we answered a work sheet about the poem “Mother to Son” by Langston Hughes. While i found this poem to be amazingly written and a powerful piece, I found todays assignment uneventful. I didn’t feel very engaged. I know that this is very difficult to do with only a sub in class but I still wanted to voice my opinion. I did get a little confused on todays paper with the question about the complex account. I wasn’t really sure what this was but I tried my best through assumption. I also noticed on the roll call sheet today that Mr. Rease put my pronouns and it honestly made my day!

 Today we started a new project and I am not too excited about it. My job for this assignment is to find words that serve a strong purpose in the writing and I found it really hard to focus. I read through three pages but was unable to process what I had read. I also am not confident in some of my group members and the energy in my group is very passive. It really brought down my mood because the energy with some of my group mates was very negative.
